Rooms and Suites

The Whalers Inn brings together 55 individually designed rooms and suites across six historic buildings, creating a hotel experience in downtown Mystic, CT that feels personal, flexible, and rooted in the heritage of this historic seaport. Each stay places you steps from the iconic Bascule Bridge and within an easy walk to shops, galleries, and some of the best things to do in Mystic. Because the property has grown over time, accommodations vary in style, layout, and location, offering options for romantic getaways, family-friendly trips, and relaxed coastal escapes.

Some buildings date back more than a century and reflect that history with stair access to second- or third-floor rooms, while our more modern Stanton House was fully renovated with luxury and accessibility in mind and includes an elevator and full ADA accommodations.

Choosing the right space for your getaway sets the entire tone for your getaway, and the team at our Mystic Hotel is always ready to help guide that decision. Whether you are planning a quick weekend, a longer stay near Mystic Seaport, or a family-friendly visit centered around Mystic Aquarium and the waterfront, personalized assistance ensures your hotel experience matches your plans. For accessibility questions, room recommendations, or help reserving your stay, the front desk team is available by phone or email.

To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask that only ADA-compliant service animals accompany visitors during their stay. We truly appreciate your understanding.

The Main Inn

The Main Inn is one of Mystic’s most historic places to stay. Originally known as the Clinton Building, this 100+ year-old landmark has welcomed travelers for generations, complete with original tin ceilings and crown moldings that nod to its early 20th-century roots. Today, you’ll find newly renovated guest rooms with Queen or King beds, updated bathrooms, and modern furnishings, plus individually controlled heating and air conditioning for a comfortable stay after exploring Main Street, just steps from the iconic Mystic Bascule Bridge. These rooms are ideal for guests who want the charm of a historic inn with the ease of modern updates, right in the heart of downtown Mystic.

The Stonington House

Set slightly away from Main Street, the Stonington House provides a more relaxed atmosphere with outdoor entrances and a large shared porch that encourages lingering conversations. First-floor rooms are accessible and feature two Queen beds, while second-floor rooms offer King beds. This building is a great option for guests who value space and a slightly more removed guest experience. Even so, as part of our downtown Mystic Hotel complex, you’ll still have easy access to nearby attractions and the walkable charm that defines the area.

The Noank House

The Noank House offers flexible lodging ideal for families and small groups, with rooms that include either two Queen beds or a King bed paired with a full-size pull-out sofa.
